| | checkered wood butt. 1 1/2" - 2 3/8" drop. 3/8" cast-off. Black-streaked, |
| | quarter-sawn walnut stock with snap-fastening splinter forend, checkered |
| | sidepanels, straight English grip with diamond-section wrist and fine classic |
| | point-pattern checkering with mullered borders. Action body extensively |
| | hand-file sculptured, including fences, rib-extension recess and with |
| | scalloped action back. Fine scroll engraved by Eric Gold and with five |
| | grouse flying through it on the underside. A pair of gold-inlaid roses on the |
| | side of each fence. Maker's names, serial number and SAFE inlaid in gold. |
